Camera control in Gen-3 Alpha Turbo
Runway has even better camera control now. Just tested it out (image to video) and Iām seriously impressed by the improved capabilities! This is giving us more flexibility to visualize scenes with the exact framing, angles, and movements we want to create.
Video is based on this image generated in Midjourney.
Runwayās Gen-3 Alpha Turbo
Runwayās latest update for Gen-3 Alpha Turbo now lets you add both first and last frame inputs.
How does this affect the final result?
Hereās a quick comparison using the same text prompts:
In the first video, I generated the first and last images in Midjourney and used them as the first and last frame inputs. I also used the Gen-2 Motion Brush to enhance the jellyfish movements in the last frame and added that at the end.
The second video is created solely with text input. (But same text prompt as before).
Iām no expert in video editing, but I wanted to show whatās possible with this new option. Itās definitely worth trying both text-to-video and image-to-video to see which gives you the best results. But the ability to customize the first and last frames is a huge step forward for creative control on Runway.
Diving into the world of AI in costume design.
Wondering if Midjourney can be a handy tool for visualizing colours, textures, and overall looks. Inspired by Beethoven's 'The Magic Flute,' I quickly crafted these suggestions. Particularly useful in my work for the film industry, where I frequently provide visual guidance for styling and costumes.

Movie Poster using AI
I am obsessed with the new season of True Detective on HBO. I found inspiration in its bold look and colours of the promotional artwork and decided to experiment with Midjourney to create fan-art posters.
